NorthPoint Trading Partners, LLC is a securities brokerage firm that is dedicated to serving professional investors. Our team has an average of fifteen years of experience in the brokerage industry. Most of the group came together at Neovest and was integral in helping to grow the business from trading volumes of a few hundred thousand shares per day to several million. Neovest was sold to JP Morgan in 2005.
Our backgrounds range from sell side institutional brokers, to buy side portfolio managers and hedge fund traders. Our experience in the hedge fund industry and with direct access platforms gives us a unique insight and ability to service our clients. |
We are proud of the fact that, over the years, our business has grown largely through referrals from current clients. We truly believe that the brokerage business is a service business and that we provide a superior product to our clients, whether they are a large institution or a small hedge fund. We feel confident that our future clients will be as pleased with our service and expertise as the ones that we have had for years. NorthPoint Trading Partners was founded by Douglas M. Nelson and Michael L. DeJarnette. Mr. Nelson was a Managing Director and Partner of Neovest, Inc from 1995 to 2003 and started in the securities industry in 1989 with PaineWebber. Mr. DeJarnette was a Vice President and a top salesman at Neovest from 1999 to 2003 and began his career in the brokerage industry with Legg Mason Wood Walker in 1997. |
